Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an upgrade immediately?
If your TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is completed before 31st December 2024, the new upgrade is not required immediately. However, an upgrade is highly recommended as it demonstrates your currency and validity. It is important to record this upgrade on your professional development register.
I am currently enrolled for TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Should I stop and wait for the upgrade?
If your course is completed before 31st December 2023, you may continue and complete gap training for new units. In case your current course is not completed before 31st December 2023, then the RTO is responsible for your transition to the new course.
I have completed less than 6 months of the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Can I apply for an upgrade?
With limited work experience, RPL or gap assessment may be difficult to provide for the non-equivalent units, as the difference between these units is high. In such cases we advise you to enrol with us for the full course.
We have an option for you to enrol through the Skills First Funding program for eligible students. There is more good news for Frontier graduates who completed the course that was published in January. You have to pay only $200 if you are eligible under the govt funding through skill first program.
How many Credit Transfers do I get?
You can get up to 2 electives from any currently endorsed Certificate III and above training package qualifications or accredited courses. However, only 1 elective can be selected from a Certificate III qualification.
You can get 2 more credit transfers if you have achieved other qualifications from any training package relevant to what you are planning to train and assess.
