Update: 03 April 2020

As cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to increase around the world, Frontier is committed to supporting our staff and students.

Information is being progressively provided to students in relation to online and remote study options that are now available. New students who have joined us recently and are yet to enrol in classes can contact info@frontier.edu.au or call 03 9041-1820.

At this stage, we are in Stage 3 restrictions. The latest information, updates and advice about the outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) can be found at https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus

What are we doing?

Frontier Institute continues to review and monitor the coronavirus situation as it unfolds. We are keeping up-to-date with any advice provided by the Federal Government, Victorian Government Education and Training Department as well as the Victorian Government Health and Human service. We hold the safety and well being of our staff, our students and the wider community as our foremost concern.

At Frontier, we are taking proactive measures to reduce the potential risk of the spread of COVID-19. As responsible citizens and current health advice, we understand that attending physical classes can put both our students and staff at risk, therefore in order to seamlessly continue with classes, we have transitioned most of our courses to online delivery with virtual classrooms.

Our online learning management system and live virtual classroom is designed for active communication, interaction and discussions among peers. It is an engaging learning experience and easy for students to get used to. We have had great feedback on the new online learning experience. Students are loving it.

Current Students

At Frontier ‘You’ our students come first. For currently enrolled students, we have enabled online/virtual delivery of classes. Intake dates will continue as scheduled. We will be using online delivery tools to make the learning process easy. Your course coordinator will be in touch regularly to help you through the learning journey.

We will provide any necessary support for you to finish your course within your scheduled timeline.

For our apprenticeship programs or other courses that require your attendance in class, we will be ensuring social distancing measures in our classrooms (1 person per four square meters). We have ensured strict cleaning and hygiene practices on our premises to reduce any risk of transmission. Our student support team will communicate with you regularly through emails, website updates and social media, so be sure to check them regularly and stay informed.

Future Students

Committed to continuous learning and growth, for future students who want to upskill for a better career, Frontier is offering some courses at discounted fees. We hope it will help students who are looking into the future and want to keep upskilling, be ready when things get back to normal.

For Trainers and Assessors, who may have lost their jobs, we are opening a third-party agreement opportunity. If you have students wanting to continue their training with you, you can partner with us and get the required organisational support, including learning resources, LMS system, admin support and issuance of certificates on course completions. Frontier wants to provide vocational education trainers with the flexibility and financial independence through this difficult period. Get in touch to find out more.
